About Breen Stamps
At Breen Stamps, we believe every stamp, seal, and cover holds a story worth preserving. These small pieces of paper trace postal journeys, passing through real hands and marking real moments in time. Today, they stand as nostalgic reminders of how people once connected across distance and generations.
Our roots in philately run deep. What began as a childhood interest grew into a lifelong dedication to collecting, studying, and preserving stamps from the U.S. and around the world. Our founder, a 1984 graduate of Shaker Heights High School and a proud U.S. Army veteran, carries forward that same sense of discipline, curiosity, and respect for history in every aspect of the work.
Over the years, multiple family collections have come together, creating a broad and thoughtfully curated range of stamps and ephemera. As preservationists, we approach each item with care, historical awareness, and a commitment to accurate, ethical representation.
As a member in good standing of the American Philatelic Society (APS #233461), we uphold the standards collectors expect: honesty, clarity, and genuine appreciation for the material we steward.
While you'll find a growing selection of items available online, not everything in our inventory is listed. Our working collection includes U.S. classics, Prexies, plate blocks, Christmas Seals, Back-of-Book material, First Day Covers, vintage covers, and a wide variety of specialty pieces from both domestic and international sources. If you're searching for a specific stamp or set, we encourage you to reach out — we’re always glad to check availability, discuss condition, or accommodate private inquiries.
We are happy to provide an EZStamp/EZGrader Certificate of Measurement and Grading upon request. While this is not an authentication service, it offers an unbiased assessment of centering and visual characteristics to help inform your collecting decisions.
Our mission is simple: to help connect collectors with pieces of history that matter to them, and to ensure these tangible records of communication continue to be appreciated and preserved for future generations.
